On November 6, 2025, the 16th 6th Executive Meeting of the Unsaturated Polyester Resin Branch of the China Synthetic Resin Association was successfully held in Shanghai. This conference, with the theme of "Analyzing the Current Situation, Responding to Challenges, and Enhancing Efficiency", focused on the international development of China's unsaturated polyester resin industry and carried out a deep and practical industry exchange.

The core part of the conference was a special report titled "Analysis and Future Development of the Unsaturated Polyester Resin Export Market" delivered by Mr. Zhai Jiye, the secretary-general of the Unsaturated Polyester Resin Branch of the China Synthetic Resin Association. Secretary-general Zhai's report, based on detailed data and in-depth research, presented a clear "overseas expansion map" of the industry to the representatives present.

The report systematically reviews the export data of China's unsaturated polyester resins from 2020 to 2025. Through vertical comparison, it clearly presents the growth trajectory and fluctuation cycle of the export scale over the past five years. Then, the report delved deeply into the characteristics of the export market structure, indicating the distribution of major trading partners and high-potential emerging markets. While affirming the achievements, Secretary-General Zhai did not shy away from the challenges. He sharply pointed out the main problems existing in the current export work, such as product homogenization competition, the intensification of international trade barriers, and the pressure of supply chain cost control. In response to these pain points, the final part of the report focuses on elaborating how to enhance the comprehensive efficiency of unsaturated resin export operations. It proposes a series of strategic and operational development paths, ranging from optimizing product structure, strengthening brand building, innovating service models to laying out overseas warehouses and local service networks.

Secretary-general Zhai's report resonated strongly with the participants. During the subsequent sharing session participated by over ten leading enterprises in the industry, the heads of each enterprise engaged in a lively discussion based on the actual export data for 2025. Everyone shared first-hand information on the process of expanding into international markets, including insights into changes in demand in different regional markets, experiences in dealing with exchange rate fluctuations and rising shipping costs, as well as judgments on the future global market landscape.

The participating enterprises generally believe that despite the challenging external environment, China's unsaturated polyester resin industry, with its complete industrial chain and continuously improving technological strength, still has huge opportunities in the international market. The common realization lies in that in the future, we must shift from "price competition" to "value competition". Through continuous technological innovation, we should develop more environmentally friendly and efficient special resin products and build a digital and agile foreign trade operation system, so as to occupy a more favorable position in the global value chain.
