In 2026, the fifth meeting of the fifth session of the Changzhou Coatings Association and the 2026 Coatings Industry High-Quality Green Development Forum were grandly launched. This conference, with the theme of "Green Empowerment, Intelligent High-Quality, Quality Enhancement through Intelligence, Green Foundation, Building a New Eco-System for the Coatings Industry", brought together representatives from government authorities, industry associations, research institutions, and enterprises along the entire industrial chain. They focused on core topics such as policy interpretation, technological innovation, intelligent manufacturing, and safe development, and engaged in a one-day in-depth exchange and ideological collision. Mr. Lu Xudong, the general manager of Fangxin Resin Group, was invited as a forum guest to attend this grand event. He participated in all the conference agendas throughout the day and discussed development plans with industry colleagues, jointly drawing a new blueprint for the high-quality and intelligent upgrade of the coatings industry.

The agenda of the conference was compact and practical, covering everything from annual reviews to policy explanations, from industrial planning to sharing of cutting-edge technologies. It comprehensively depicted the development trajectory and future direction of the coatings industry.

Zhu Yajun, the president of the Changzhou Coatings Association, delivered the 2025 annual work report. Secretary-General Li Xinyi released the financial report and officially announced the "15th Five-Year" development plan for the industry, clearly defining the goals and paths for the medium and long-term development of the Changzhou coatings industry. Wu Jie, the deputy director of the Energy Conservation and Comprehensive Utilization Department of the Municipal Industry and Information Technology Bureau, interpreted the relevant policies on green and low-carbon. Several enterprises respectively shared advanced technological solutions in areas such as intelligent manufacturing, water-based additives, dust-free powder transportation, and smart energy. They also conducted in-depth discussions on topics such as AI breakthroughs in the coatings industry and the "six-element" construction of safe production. General Manager Lu Xudong paid special attention to topics related to intelligent manufacturing and green low-carbon, stating that resin is the performance foundation of coatings, and green and low-carbon at the source is the primary key to improving the quality of the entire coatings industry.

Regarding the dual carbon goals, Fang Xin mainly focuses on attacking core technologies in two directions to lay a low-carbon foundation for the industry.

Firstly, it focuses on low-VOC resins, aiming to reduce emissions at the source. We have vigorously developed green products such as water-based resins, high-solid-content resins, and solvent-free resins, optimizing the molecular structure and production processes to achieve lower free monomers and lower VOC emissions. At the same time, we promote the clean, sealed, and automated production process throughout the entire production chain, controlling carbon and reducing carbon emissions from raw materials to finished products, ensuring that we provide downstream enterprises with truly environmentally friendly and stable high-performance resins.

Secondly, it focuses on bio-based resins, seizing the new low-carbon赛道. We collaborate with research institutions, focusing on developing bio-based modified resin products. We use renewable raw materials to replace some petrochemical resources, ensuring the key performance such as paint film hardness, weather resistance, and adhesion, while effectively reducing the carbon footprint of the products, achieving "performance not reduced, carbon emissions lower".

In the future, Fang Xin will continue to deepen its research and development of green resin technology, empowering downstream coating enterprises with original innovation, and together with all of you, building a low-carbon, efficient, and high-quality coating industry chain, contributing Fang Xin's strength to the green development of the industry.

Currently, the downstream industries have an increasingly urgent demand for differentiated and high-end coatings. Resin, as the core raw material, is the key leverage to enable the downstream to achieve iterative upgrades. In response to this demand, Fangxin has mainly made two arrangements, precisely addressing the pain points of the downstream.

First, we have deeply engaged in customized research and development, precisely matching the differentiated demands. We have established a specialized research and development team, focusing on the core pain points of anti-corrosion and functional coatings - such as the salt spray resistance, acid and alkali resistance requirements in the heavy anti-corrosion field, and the high-temperature resistance, scratch resistance, and anti-static properties of functional coatings. We conduct customized resin research and development one-on-one. We do not adopt a "one-size-fits-all" approach. Based on the product positioning and application scenarios of downstream customers, we optimize the molecular structure of the resin and adjust the formula system to ensure that the resin can not only adapt to the production processes of customers but also help the downstream coatings build core competitiveness, achieving "customized according to needs, precise empowerment".

Second, we have scientifically arranged intelligent production capacity, strengthening the guarantee of high-end supply. High-end resins have extremely high requirements for production precision and stability. In our three major bases in Changzhou, Nantong, and Suzhou, we have upgraded the intelligent production lines to achieve precise control of the formula and full-process automation of production. This not only ensures the consistency and stability of customized resins but also improves the response speed of production capacity. At the same time, we optimize the capacity allocation based on the downstream industry layout to ensure the timely supply of high-end resins and avoid affecting the upgrade progress of customers due to production capacity disconnection.

In the future, Fangxin will continue to take customized research and development as the core and intelligent production capacity as the support, deeply connecting with the high-end demands of the downstream, and using more professional and efficient resin solutions to help anti-corrosion and functional coatings achieve differentiated breakthroughs and high-end upgrades, jointly promoting the high-quality development of the industry with all colleagues.
